LiFT: Project Management Training
What is the LiFT Program?
LiFT is designed to teach critical skills Project Managers need to be successful in the management of projects and in the cultivation of business relationships.
Utilizing case studies, participants explore real life situations faced by experienced Project Managers and apply lessons learned to their own individual projects.
The program’s modules are built to introduce and enhance a wide variety of technical and leadership skills needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced, high-demand mechanical construction environment.
LiFT provides local, quality training that is relevant to both our industry and marketplace. In this highly interactive and engaging program, participants are able to connect with other industry professionals.

- Become a better leader with an action plan designed to improve your project management success.
LiFT is a 3 level program. Each level includes 10 seminars and is limited to 20 participants, creating a collaborative environment where participants are able build lasting relationships.
Designed for Project Managers
LiFT2: 3 – 7 years of experience. This program will be offered in Fall 2018.
LiFT3: More than 8 years of experience. Curriculum is currently under development.

This program is open to all employees of Contractors Signatory to Local 8, Local 533, and Associate Members of the MCAKC.
Tuition for each 10-week level:
$1,000.00 Signatory Contractors – $500.00 reimbursed upon successful completion**
$2,000.00 Associate Members – $500.00 reimbursed upon the successful completion**
$2,500.00 Affiliates (Other Industry Associations)
**Successful completion is defined as missing no more than (1) seminar in a program level.
Affiliates and Other Organizations are not eligible to receive the $500 tuition refund.
MCAKC Education Reimbursement Certificates may be used in lieu of payment. Tuition paid using these certificates are not eligible to receive the $500 tuition refund.
