SUMMARY:Project Coordinator Training - Intro to Project Management
DESCRIPTION:Attendance Policy\nThis is a multi-day seminar series\, and attendance is required for each session. Please register only if you can commit to full attendance. Exceptions are made only for unforeseen circumstances such as illness or work emergencies. \nSchedule\nDays 1 & 2: April 27 & 28\, 2027 | 8:30 AM–4:00 PM\nDays 3 & 4: May 25 & 26\, 2027 | 8:30 AM–4:00 PM \nMeals\nLunch is included each day of the program. \nProject Coordinator Training: Introduction to Project Management\nThe project coordinator plays a vital role in the success of construction projects. This four-day\, hands-on training program introduces participants to the full construction project life cycle\, from acquisition to close-out\, and highlights the critical support functions that help project managers and field teams succeed. \nUsing MCAA’s Successful Project Management Flowchart and a realistic sample project as guiding frameworks\, participants will explore the key processes\, documents\, and communication practices needed to support construction project teams effectively. Participants will leave with foundational knowledge and practical tools to contribute confidently and proactively to project success. \nInstructor\nKathy Crosby is the President and Owner of C2 Consulting\, Inc.\, a firm specializing in construction training\, consulting\, and business process improvement. With more than 30 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry\, she previously served as Vice President and CFO of a commercial and industrial mechanical contracting firm. SUMMARY:VitalCog: Suicide Prevention in the Workplace
DESCRIPTION:Date:  \nFriday\, May 14\, 2026\nTime: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM\nLocation: 10955 Lowell Ave 10th Floor Overland Park\, KS \nBreakfast Included! \nVitalCog is an interactive\, two-hour suicide prevention training designed specifically for the workplace. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs\, start meaningful conversations\, and connect coworkers who may be struggling with appropriate support and resources. Through discussion and practical exercises\, the training helps build confidence around talking about mental health and suicide while promoting a workplace culture of help-seeking and help-giving.\n \n \nTarget Audience: Anyone employed by a mechanical contractor signatory to Local 8 or Local 533\, or by an MCAKC Associate Member company. \nCost: This program is offered at no charge to Signatory Contractors and Associate Members of the MCAKC.   \nInstructor\nJenny Devaney is a Project Coordinator with Cerris Systems\, where she has spent the past four years supporting both field and office teams and helping promote project success and collaboration. She serves as Chair of the Cerris Systems Kansas City Mental Wellbeing Committee and is an active member of the company’s broader mental wellbeing efforts. As a certified VitalCog Trainer and former educator\, Jenny is passionate about fostering psychological safety\, mental wellbeing\, and meaningful workplace connections.
