DESCRIPTION:Bake Off Social Hour with St. Michael’s Veteran’s Center\nWednesday\, October 7\, 2026\n4:00 PM to 6:00 PM\nSt. Michael’s Veteran’s Center \nJoin us for a special community service event as we team up with St. Michael’s Veteran’s Center (SMVC)\, our 2026 golf tournament charity partner! SMVC empowers veterans toward healthy reintegration with their families and communities through permanent housing and wraparound supportive services. This year\, we’re giving back with more than a donation. \nBringing a baked item is optional but highly encouraged\, sweet or savory\, whatever you like to make. Join veteran residents for an afternoon of good food and conversation. Throughout the event\, members and veterans will mingle and sample each other’s creations before a panel of judges hands out prizes across three categories. \nBaking Ideas: \n\nCookies\, muffins\, or brownies\nSweet pies or cobblers\nSavory pies or quiches\nHomemade bread\n\nCategories: \n\nSweet\nSavory\nBread\n\nThis social hour is proudly hosted by MCAKC’s YPC\, and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a contractor\, an Associate Member\, or a friend of the industry\, this is your chance to connect with the veterans SMVC serves. \nWhat to Expect: \n\nA relaxed social setting to mingle with SMVC residents\nTastings from a mix of member and veteran-baked entries\nA judging panel made up of MCAKC members and veteran residents\nPrizes for the top bake in each category\n\nVolunteer Info: \n\nWhat to bring: A baked item is optional but highly encouraged\, sweet or savory\nRSVP: Let us know if you’re bringing a bake so we can plan the tasting table\n\nCome share a treat and share an afternoon with the heroes we’re proud to support! \n\n \nCancelation Policy\nCancelations for all MCAKC events must be received at least 2 Business Days prior to the event by email to learn@mcakc.org or by phone at 913-948-9200. Cancelations received after this time will be assessed a cancelation fee.
