SUMMARY:Kansas City Night - Installation of Officers Dinner Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join the MCA of Kansas City for the\n2027 Kansas City Night\nInstallation of Officers Celebration\nfeaturing Keynote Ben Nemtin\nKansas City Night is our annual celebration of you\, our members. On Friday\, January 22\, 2027\, join friends and colleagues from across the industry at The Midland Theatre for an evening of cocktails and conversation. Catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones from companies across Kansas City. Then raise a glass to our incoming Board of Directors and hear from #1 New York Times bestselling author Ben Nemtin. \nKeynote: Ben Nemtin \n \nIn this industry\, you solve problems that look impossible on paper every day. As you head into a new year\, Ben will show you how to bring that same mindset to your biggest personal and professional goals. \nBen knows the subject firsthand. He and three friends once wrote a list of 100 dreams and set off in a rickety RV to chase them. For every dream they achieved\, they helped a stranger achieve one of their own. That mission became the hit TV show The Buried Life and the bestselling book What Do You Want to Do Before You Die? He has now crossed off 96 of his 100 dreams\, and he is on track for #100: Go to Space. \nGlobal Gurus ranks Ben the #2 motivational speaker in the world\, and more than half of the Fortune 100 have brought him in to inspire their teams. In his keynote\, Ben shares the repeatable system behind his achievements and shows how small\, consistent actions build momentum toward goals that once seemed out of reach. You’ll also see how purpose and giving back can multiply your impact on the job and at home. \nEvening Schedule \n6:00 p.m. \n      Cocktail Reception\n7:00 p.m.      Plated Dinner\, followed by the Installation of Officers and Keynote Address\n9:00 p.m.      After-Party Reception in the Upstairs Bar. Want to keep the party going? Join us upstairs after the keynote. \n\nAttire \nBusiness or cocktail attire. Not sure what to wear? Browse photos\nfrom last year’s Kansas City Night to see what attendees wore. \nWho’s Invited \nThis event is free for all employees of MCAKC Signatory Members and Associate Members. Everyone is welcome\, from the office to the field. You may also bring one guest\, such as your spouse or significant other. Guests must be 21 or older. \nOpen Seating \nWe are no longer offering reserved tables for groups. Registration and seating are individual\, and all seats are first come\, first served. When you register\, add your guest to your registration. We encourage you to sit with members from other companies and make new connections over dinner. \nRegister by Friday\, January 15\, 2027 \nRegistration closes on January 15\, 2027 so reserve your spot today. \nAttendance Policy: \n\n“No Shows” for this event will be assessed a $100 No Show fee (per person).  If you have registered for this event and will be unable to attend\, please contact MCAKC at 913-948-9200.

SUMMARY:MCAA Student Competition Feedback Session
DESCRIPTION:MCAA Student Competition Industry Feedback Session\n \nKansas State University and Pittsburg State University’s MCAA Student Chapters are preparing for the MCAA National Student Competition\, and they need your expertise. \nThis year’s project focuses on cogeneration and wastewater. Both teams are working hard to earn a spot in the Final Four in 2027\, and your real-world insights could make a real difference in the quality of their final proposals. \nHere’s how the afternoon is structured: \n?? Kansas State University | 2:00–3:30 PM\nPresentation followed by open feedback \n?? Pittsburg State University | 3:30–5:00 PM\nPresentation followed by open feedback \nWhether you have 20 minutes or the full three hours\, your feedback is valuable. We’re especially looking for expertise in cogeneration\, wastewater\, and service\, but all perspectives are welcome. \nA few important things to keep in mind: \nThis is an active competition. Students are still refining their proposals\, which are due in early December. Please keep feedback and information from each session separate — nothing shared in one group’s session should make its way to the other team. \nSnacks and drinks will be available at the office throughout the afternoon. \nPreparatory materials will be sent to all registrants ahead of the session so you can come ready to contribute. \nRegister below to save your spot. A calendar invite will follow.
