If you receive a registration restriction message\, contact Jacki Conn at learn@mcakc.org join the waitlist. \n\n\n\nSpace is limited!  Register Early!\n\nAbout\nThe Industry Orientation Program is a one-day seminar that provides employees new to the mechanical contracting industry with foundational knowledge about the profession. Led by local professionals in the mechanical contracting industry\, this seminar includes group discussion and small group interaction to educate participants on what it takes to thrive in this industry. \nAttendee\nThis program is designed for those new to the mechanical contracting industry.  New employees (any position)\, students\, recent graduates\, and interns will all benefit from this “Intro to Mechanical Contracting”. \nGoals  \n\nHelp new employees identify their role in\, and contribution to\, your business.\nGain knowledge of the mechanical contractor’s business culture.\nConnect with industry peers to build a professional network.\nEducate\, excite\, and engage new employees about the MCAKC community.\n\n  \nObjectives \n After completing this program\, participants will be able to:\n \nSection 1: Union Mechanical Contracting Industry\nKollin Knox – President – P1 Construction\nDiscuss the difference between Union vs Non-Union Mechanical Contracting businesses. \nSection 2: The Kansas City Mechanical Contracting Market\nKollin Knox – President – P1 Construction\nIdentify vertical markets in which Union Mechanical Contractors in Kansas City leverage their experience\n \nSection 3: Construction vs Service\nClay Daniels – President – U.S. Engineering\, Service\nCompare and contrast the Construction vs Service side of the Mechanical Contracting Industry. \nSection 4: Vendors and Suppliers\nTaylor Monaco  – Outside Sales Representative – PM & Associates\nExplain the manufacturing and supplier relationship in our industry and where products come from and how they get to the job site. \nSection 5: The MCA of Kansas City: Utilizing our Services\nStacy Zerr – Executive Director\, MCAKC\nUtilize the MCAKC to support career goals and leverage learning opportunities. \nLunch is provided.   \n\nTarget Audience:  Anyone new to the mechanical contracting industry. \n\nCEUs: 0.7\n \n   Tuition\nThis program is offered at no charge to Signatory Contractors and Associate Members of the MCAKC.   \nCancellation Policy\nCancellations for all MCAKC events must be received at least 2 Business Days prior to the event by email to learn@mcakc.org or by phone at 913-948-9200. Cancellations received after this time will be assessed a cancellation fee. \n“No Shows”\, except for emergencies\, will be assessed a fee and invoiced $50 for a half day seminar\, $100 for a full day\, or the full amount of event expenses paid.
