Kansas City Night – Installation of Officers Dinner Celebration

Join the MCA of Kansas City for the
2027 Kansas City Night
Installation of Officers Celebration
featuring Keynote Ben Nemtin

Kansas City Night is our annual celebration of you, our members. On Friday, January 22, 2027, join friends and colleagues from across the industry at The Midland Theatre for an evening of cocktails and conversation. Catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones from companies across Kansas City. Then raise a glass to our incoming Board of Directors and hear from #1 New York Times bestselling author Ben Nemtin.

Keynote: Ben Nemtin

The work you do in this industry is demanding, and the pressure doesn’t let up. As you head into a new year, Ben will show you how working with purpose can keep you at your best without burning you out.

Ben knows the subject firsthand. He and three friends once wrote a list of 100 dreams and set off in a rickety RV to chase them. For every dream they achieved, they helped a stranger achieve one of their own. That mission became the hit TV show The Buried Life and the bestselling book What Do You Want to Do Before You Die? He has now crossed off 96 of his 100 dreams, and he is on track for #100: Go to Space.

Global Gurus ranks Ben the #2 motivational speaker in the world, and more than half of the Fortune 100 have brought him in to inspire their teams. In his keynote, he draws on his own story to show why taking care of yourself is the foundation of your best work. You’ll leave with practical tools to build resilience on the job and at home.

Who’s Invited

This event is free for all employees of MCAKC Signatory Members and Associate Members. Everyone is welcome, from the office to the field. You may also bring one guest, such as your spouse or significant other. Guests must be 21 or older.

Open Seating

We are no longer offering reserved tables for groups. Registration and seating are individual, and all seats are first come, first served. When you register, add your guest to your registration. We encourage you to sit with members from other companies and make new connections over dinner.

New This Year: Silent Auction

This year, a silent auction replaces reserved table sales as our way of giving back, and we have a royally good package up for bid. The package features an original painting of Salvador Perez by Anthony “AO” Oropeza from last year’s Kansas City Night. It also includes a signed Salvy jersey in a custom frame and a Salvy bobblehead. One winner takes home the entire package at the end of the night. All proceeds will provide a final top-off to our 2026 golf tournament charity partner, St. Michael’s Veterans Center.
