Our Annual Membership Meeting wrapped up August, and the turnout said everything about where our industry stands right now. Members packed the room for a conversation about the state of the Kansas City construction market and what lies ahead for mechanical contractors across our region.
A Strong Market
In her letter opening this year’s Annual Report, Executive Director Stacy Zerr reflected on a construction market that remains strong throughout Kansas City. Our workforce has reached a 25-year high, and demand for skilled professionals keeps climbing. That kind of growth brings real opportunity for our members, along with real challenges in meeting it.
MCAKC remains committed to helping members meet this moment. We’re continuing to invest in workforce development, leadership training, and industry advocacy, along with the partnerships that strengthen both our contractors and our union workforce.
New Board and Executive Committee Approved
Membership formally approved the incoming Board and Executive Committee at the 2026 Annual Membership Meeting, and we congratulate every member stepping into a leadership role beginning January 1, 2027. These leaders volunteer their time to guide the association’s direction, and their commitment shapes what MCAKC can offer its members in the years ahead.
