This two-day interactive seminar includes hands-on activities, case studies, and interactive discussions. Our instructor, Harry Bederian, has extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field of construction. The seminar aims to equip attendees with a basic understanding of the tasks and roles of project engineers in construction and provides a foundation for further learning and development. Attendees will learn how critical components like RFIs, Submittals, and Meeting Minutes can impact the success or failure of a project. You’ll learn how a project engineer bridges the gap between engineering and management/construction. This course will lay the foundation for attendees to have conversations with experienced team members, expand the attendees understanding of construction practices, and give attendees a road map to take a deeper dive, on their own, in all the topics covered through this course.

Instructor
Harry Bederian became interested in the mechanical contracting industry when he as an undergraduate student at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). He served as the president of the MCAA/CPMCA Student Chapter in 2009/2010.
Harry has been a Project Engineer at ARB, Inc. since 2012 and worked in a leadership role on various projects including the construction of Gas Fired Power Plants, Solar Power Plants, Gas Compressor Stations, and construction within refineries.
Harry has served as the CPMCA Education and Scholarship Committee Chair since 2010, CPMCA Board Member, and a mentor to the USC Student Chapter. Harry is currently studying for his Masters in Project Management at the University of Wisconsin.
